MANASLU TREKKING

Manaslu trekking was opened in 1991 for foreigners which takes to the base camp of Mount Manaslu and offers the wilderness and adventure walking holidays. Manaslu Region lies in sensitive location on the border of Nepal and China, so it is compulsory to get special permit for trekking. Manaslu area is well known for its panoramic mountain view of Mount Manaslu at an elevation of 8163m, amazing landscape, and rich Tibetan Buddhist culture. Manaslu trekking area lies in between two famous trekking destinations Annapurna and Langtang.
The Manaslu trek starts from Arughat Bazaar and ends in Besisahar. The trekking trail follows the bank of Budhigandaki River crossing Larke Pass at 5153 meters above sea level. The Manaslu region offers some of the finest trekking in the Himalayas through Hindu and Tibetan-style villages. It is becoming the alternative of Annapurna circuit trekking in these days. The inhabitants of the upper Budhi Gandaki region are mostly descendants of Tibetan immigration and we can find abundant Buddhist prayer flags and chortens in this region.
